The Brutal Kitten Project

The Long Awaited Update

If you don't know what this is, just go away. It obviously isn't for you. Or, you know, just enjoy the included gifs. This is one of the main pages of the brutal kitten project. For those who came here from the last piece, congrats on making it this far. The project will continue well into this year and probably the next as well. New pieces have been added, and believe me, they're more than enough to keep you busy for the next 3-5 months. This page may be updated at that time (other linking options have been left open so that I can decide later), but for now, here's the January 30th update as promised in the December 2017 end piece.

Some Issues We're Having

It has also come to my attention that many of you have been gathering in online chat rooms and working together on the pieces. I specifically stated in the first piece that this is an individual effort, not a group one. Not only did you think that I wouldn't find out about these communications, but that there would be no repercussions for it within the project itself. Well guess what, cheaters? Every last one of you will be punished for your insolence. Welcome to your new cryptographically signed hell. The beatings will continue until you drop out of the project, or your submit and play by my rules. I don't think it's funny, and neither do the other players that are following the rules I put forward on day one.

The Nuclear Option

Ever since point 1, you've had the option of using any operating system you like on any hardware platform as long as the common open source utilities have been ported over, or if you were willing to port them yourselves. Thanks to the cheaters that think they can break the rules, this is going to be changing. The decryption tool that I gave you in the last piece before the break is a binary. Yes, that's what the binary file is. I saw many of you in the main Discord server trying to run it on Windows, OS X, and Ubuntu. I've also seen some of you trying to figure out what the zip files are filled with. It's a closed source RTOS that runs only on Intel x86_64 (AMD and others untested). It should work in QEMU just fine, but not real hardware. Rename to .iso and boot it in a VM. Setup will take you through the rest and tell you how to run applications, such as the decryption binary. It's truly a shame that I had to go for the nuclear option here, but the cheaters left me with no other choice. We can end this here, or it can get worse. The cheaters will have to decide in 2018.
